THE RULES
these are mandatory for you to follow. we understand the
basic mistake, but if it happens to often there will be a
penality. seriously, we try really hard to keep this fun for
everyone so don't go messing with it k? the basic idea is
that if you break the rules once you get a warning, the
second time you get suspended, and the third time banned.
of course every case needs to be reviewed.
also please note these go in the order that you need them.
so it starts with general stuff, onto applying, to roleplaying,
ect. please do read them all though at once before you
register. it is only done that way so its easier to look up
a rule if maybe you forgot.
GENERAL RULES
- play nice okay? try not to fight all over the place and be nice to your fellow roleplayer. we are all just trying to have a good time.
- read and understand these rules. they are here for a reason.
- be active. seriously a site is nothing without it's members. and we love you guys.
THE APPLICATION PROCESS
- you must find out application (the links in the sidebar make that super easy) and you must fill it out. when you do this we ask that you put your application in the appropriate category with the topic being LAST, first middle. this means the last name is in caps, the first and middle in lower case.
- once you have submitted and application we ask that you hold tight. someone will be on to review your application asap. do not go ahead and post in character. you may however post in the face claim.
- once you are accepted you will be moved to the ministry records section to the appropriate category. if you are marked as pending you will be moved the appropriate pending category and you must fix whatever it is you did wrong. if you are deleted your application will be moved to deleted and your account will be deleted as well. (HINT: might be helpful to see these because we will say why they were deleted.)
- YOUR DISPLAY NAME SHOULD BE first middle last ALL LOWERCASE.
CHARACTER RULES
- when you are making a character please be creative. no canons allowed and do not be an average character. have something special.
- something special being said please please please DO NOT make your character incredibly special. no students can use wandless magic, there is a limited number of veela/vampire/ect. and do not make your pregnant, depressed, suicidal, ex abused, orphan who is confused with her sexuality be a character. that is dumb.
- you have an application use it to develop your characters.
ROLEPLAYING
- this is a pg-13 type site. that means some things are adult, but not to adult. please respect that.
- this site requires some literacy. obviously spelling mistakes happen sometimes (that means most of the time they don't) and short posts occasionally are all something warrant, that's fine. just use your own digression.
- all posts should be written in past tense, third person. this means no "I,we,us" and everything should be like "he did, grabbed, ran, ect."
- you only control your character. if you are dueling and you fire a spell, you cannot really say if it hit the other person or not. you are in control of your character alone. that being said, if you are in a duel you cannot avoid every spell. ish happens.
CHAT BOX RULES
- please do not post links in the chat box. if we are chilling and being cool and there is a funny youtube video and you tell us about it and we want to see it AND WE SAY WE WANT TO SEE IT then go ahead, do it.
- DO NOT advertise. seriously. if you are a character on this site and you advertise in the c box you will be immediately banned. If you are a guest that spams our c box with adverts (or at all) you can probably expect us to do the same in return, 1000 times worse.
- please keep language to a minimum, substitute words (gits and shiggles, ish, ect.)
GRAPHICS
- please do not have avatars bigger than 100x100. i know that is not so common anymore, but we ask that of you.
- sigs should not exceed 500 width wise. height wise is debatable and it is mostly if we see there is a problem it will be dealt with.
- please make sure all your graphics are appropriate.
- if someone makes your graphics for you credit them. please.
